Lamborghini’s lips are sealed, but photos of a drop-top Reventon Roadster super have surfaced online ahead of the car’s reveal at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show.
Based on the already potent Murciélago, the Reventon, unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt show, received a carbon-fiber body patterned after the F-22 fighter jet, a $1.5 million price tag, and a very limited production run (no more than 21 were to be built). Now, it seems Lamborghini plans on offering the same, but without a fixed roof.
We’re waiting to receive the full press kit from Sant’Agata Bolognese, but we imagine the new roadster receives the same 640 hp, 6.5-liter V-12 as its coupe sibling. Pricing is rumored to be about $1.6 million, and fewer than 20 may be built.
