2010 Jaguar XFR Starts At $80,000

2010 Jaguar Xfr And Xkr

On paper, Jaguar has shown that the 2010 XFR can run with the mighty Germans in terms of performance figures. Now the company will attempt to undercut its rivals in price as well. With a MSRP of $80,000, the XFR is $6,325 less than a BMW M5 and $8,575 less than a Mercedes Benz E63.

Don’t get giddy just yet. The pricing for the Bimmer and the Benz is for the 2009 model year. While pricing is unlikely to drop for the 2010 M5, we’re waiting to see the numbers when Mercedes indulges us with an AMG model based on the 2010 E-class. With all that four-door European performance, we foresee a luxury sport sedan comparison test in our future.

Jag has also set pricing for the rest of the 2010 XF lineup. The base model will start a $52,000 a $2,025 increase over the 2009 model. For 2010, the XF Premium replaces the XF supercharged. The Premium with its new naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V-8 will cost $57,000, substantially less than the current supercharged model. Buyers also can crank up the luxury on their XF Premium by opting for the “portfolio pack” for an additional $4,000.

Pricing has been released for the 2010 XK lineup as well. The base coupe and convertible, also featuring the new V-8, will start at $83,000 $89,000 respectively. Meanwhile, the supercharged XKR will command $96,000 in coupe form or $102,000 with a soft top.
