2010 Honda Accord Crosstour Interior, Powertrain Revealed
The slow trickle of information about the new 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour continues to run. This time, we’ve been treated to photos of the crossover’s interior, along with basic powertrain specifications.
As you can see, the Accord Crosstour features an interior virtually indistinguishable from its Accord coupe and sedan brethren. The driver and front passenger are greeted by the same sweeping dashboard seen in other Accords, playing to customers looking for a car-like crossover. If it’s anything like the cabin on the Accord EX model, expect the cabin to be trimmed with a fair amount of nicely grained materials, which could the Crosstour an upscale feel.
Helping the Crosstour’s ability to tackle those family road trips is its ability to sip fuel and make its way through snowy situations. The Accord Crosstour will come standard with Honda’s 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6. Although that engine is able to return an impressive 19/29 mpg city/highway in an Accord sedan, its weight is closer to the Pilot SUV, which is rated at 17/23 mpg. Those figures, of course, reference a front-wheel-drive Crosstour; Honda will offer all-wheel-drive as an option.
The 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour goes on sale this November, but Honda has yet to release pricing information. It will likely command a slight premium over the Accord Sedan V-6’s starting price of $27,515.
