Nissan is finally bringing the cute Cube crossover to the U.S. and we were on hand to see the Cube under the spotlights in Los Angeles.
The 2009 Nissan Cube shares a lot of mechanical parts with the Versa, so we’re expecting it to sticker somewhere around the Versa’s price, but certainly not as cheap as the Versa 1.6. All Cubes come equipped with the same 122-hp 1.8-liter DOHC I-4, coupled to either a six-speed manual transaxle or an optional CVT.
Now buyers have another choice in small, boxy utility vehicles. If you’re a fan of the Cube, head to a Nissan dealer early next year and check one out for yourself. Meanwhile, read our review of the Cube and follow the rest of our live coverage of the 2008 Los Angeles auto show here.
