2009 Ford F-150 named North American Truck of the Year
This morning, a panel of automotive journalists named the 2009 Ford F-150 the North American Truck of the Year. The pickup was given the crown over two other well qualified finalists, the Dodge Ram and the Mercedes ML320 BlueTec diesel.
The redesigned F-150 is already no stranger to awards. It is the 2009 Best Redesigned Vehicle from Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com and it was named the most “Accessory-Friendly Truck” by SEMA. The F-series is still the best-selling vehicle in the country, and a redesigned truck should keep sales going strong for 2009.
The final ballots were cast at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Ford’s F-150 replaces last year’s winner, the 2008 Mazda CX-9.
