I’m actually surprised at how much I like this vehicle. The trans makes the fastest, imperceptible shifts this side of a dual-clutch unit. The engine sounds great, with loads of induction noise. Why does everyone keep saying that Nissan’s VQ is one of the best V-6 in the world? Oh no: Nissan needs to take a lesson from Honda.

;That said, the MDX has some confusing ergonomics, weak seat heaters, and high beams aimed at the stars. Great futuristic looks and decent stereo. Comfy and soft suspension, but quite pleasant to ride in. And a pretty interior despite the fake wood. Wallows a bit in comfort mode, but Sport fixes that. A really nice crossover that drives really well. I finally understand why I see so many of these things driving around.

Have any MDX owners found a way to organize the center console "box"? My 2003 MDX had a shallow upper tray that was handy for keeping things that I needed to get my hands on quickly and often. Then, the lower box had dividers for CD jewelboxes and was large enough to hold gloves, scarves, etc. The 2008 is just a box with no dividers and needs something to organize it.
