1000 Reservations Placed for 2011 Ford Fiesta in One Week

2011 Ford Fiesta

Tied to its launch of the 2011 Fiesta at the Los Angeles auto show last week, Ford opened up a website to allow customers to place pre-orders for the new subcompact. Thus far, more than 1000 reservations have been placed.

“The Fiesta Movement created an unparalleled awareness and interest for the Fiesta,” said Lew Echin, Ford’s car marketing communications manager. “Fiesta Reservations provides these prospective customers a customized experience for researching, reserving, and following their Fiesta.”

Depending on the trim level, it can also net buyers a bargain. Those who actually build and reserve a Fiesta SE on the website will receive Ford’s SYNC system and an upgraded audio system free of charge, a $595 value. SYNC is standard equipment on the top-level SES and SEL trims, and is not available on the base S model.

Those interested in placing a reservation for a new Fiesta can configure the car to their heart’s content (although we’d recommend skipping the “tattoo” exterior graphic package) at www.fordvehicles.com/2011fiesta.
