100 to 0 in 3 Minutes: Neiman Marcus Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is Sold Out

At $75,000, this particular Chevrolet Camaro won’t find itself in the realm of value. What it is, however, is the long-awaited convertible model that is a part of the annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, and it took just three minutes to sell out all 100 examples.

Neiman Marcus, the chain of high-end department stores, normally pairs a vehicle with its Christmas Book to present an exclusive holiday gift. Last year, the Jaguar XJ was the car of choice. The Camaro Convertible was selected for this year and was appointed with the Deep Bordeaux paint job with “ghosted” stripes and various luxurious changes to the interior. Just 100 of the convertibles were earmarked for the program and all are the SS trim featuring the 6.2-liter V-8. The Camaro will be paired with the buyer’s choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission and be delivered Spring 2011.

We will be taking our first real look at the production Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, also due at dealers in the spring, and the rest of the 2011 Camaro line during next month’s L.A. auto show.
